Store-bought energy bars often are more like candy than appropriate sports nutrition. Packed with saturated fats, sugar, and other highly processed ingredients, their only thing related to sport is perhaps their packaging. Learn how to make high-quality energy bars that properly supply your body with a verity of simple and complex carbs, unsaturated healthy fats, and minerals.

Ingredient list:

  • 200g dates (sticky)

  • 50g cranberries or other dried fruits

  • 100g quick oats

  • 100g nuts of your choice (here walnuts)

  • 2 sp. raw cacao powder (unsweetened)

  • 1 tsp. salt

1.

Combine all ingredients except oats in a blender and pulse until they form a dough-like mass.

2.

Kneed in the oats until a solid mass forms.

3.

Press the mass into a flat container and let it chill in the fridge until it gets firm.

Then cut into bars size. To package them you can use cling film, baking paper or other alternatives...

The perfect energy supply for your next workout!

Put them in the freezer if you want to save them up for longer.
